It’s mid August 2020 and a shopping experience is not complete without a face mask.
This would be very strange only a few weeks ago. Perhaps we have landed in a dystopian future where people are scared of each other and the smell of hand sanitiser pervades the air.
People are unhealthy from too much time spent on their sofas over the past few months, folks are anxious about the prosperity of their businesses and possibility of future employment following lockdown.
We are now in the worst recession since records began. I fear for the prospects of the children, having missed school for many months and then having the exam grades plucked from thin air.
In your wildest dreams, you couldn’t have predicted the kind of society that we would be living in, in August 2020. Pinch me, I may wake up!
